My Testimony

Before I knew Jesus I struggled badly with mental health and fell victim to peer pressure and would do just about anything to fit in and follow the crowd. last year I got invited to the kalahari retreat, it was a last second thing. I decided the day before Kalahari to actually go, because my friends never stopped inviting me. During the last service I felt called out by God, for the way I was living and I knew I needed to change. That’s when I decided to follow Jesus and asked him to be my savior and start listening intently to wha God has to say. I was on my hands and knees sobbing on the ground with my friends and I had never felt more comfortable in my life. I’m by no means perfect, but i’m way more faithful and more consistent in my faith now. I’m not ashamed or embarrassed to carry around my bible or wear christ like clothing. My mental burdens have been immensely lifted and I don’t carry the weight on my chest anymore. I love coming to Grace because it challenges me as a person to do better and my faith to grow stronger. I have made friendships like no other and I love it because it feels like home.
